Many people now are thinking the NKJV is the way to go, because it is based on the Textus Receptus and is easier to read.  But is it really based entirely on this text?  Or is there more to it.  Here is a video on this topic, and below the text notes.

This year has been a big year for Adventism.  The SDA church has grown faster than any church in North America, and the debate of independence vs staying with the General Conference has heated up to a point where there seems to be a spirit of confusion and anger among God's people.  We can take comfort that this was prophesied, however we need to sort it out once and for all.

Where shall we find safety unless it be in the truths that the Lord has been giving for the last fifty years?-- Review and Herald, May 25, 1905.  {CW 53.2}  

This is a very difficult question, and to answer it, Paul Godfrey will be doing a series of 6 lectures, to establish the platform of truth, and then to establish how we as Adventists can move into the future to locate ourselves on that platform, so we can form a bond of unity which will allow Jesus to finally return.  Of course the platform is only the starting point, however without it, we cannot start.

With all the garbage on the news about the 21st of May 2011 as the end of the world, and 21st of December 2012 as the end of the world, I felt it was necessary for us all to get a solid understand of prophecy, in a way where we will not err and be caught up in hype and silliness.  How do we do this?  Lets ask the prophet:

Those who are preparing to enter the ministry, who desire to become successful students of the prophecies, will find Daniel and the  Revelation an invaluable help. They need to understand this book. It speaks of past, present, and future, laying out the path so plainly that none need err therein. Those who will diligently study this book will have no relish for the cheap sentiments presented by those who have a burning desire to get out something new and strange to present to the flock of God. The rebuke of God is upon all such teachers. They need that one teach them what is meant by godliness and truth. The great, essential questions which God would have presented to the people are found in Daniel and the Revelation. There is found solid, eternal truth for this time.
